ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
Our new superwash sock yarn, spun in Italy, has a standard construction of 4/16nm with 400m (437 yds) per 100g.
Made from 75% superwashed Merino and 25% Nylon, the merino fibres have been specially treated before being spun, making the yarn machine washable and ensuring it will not felt when dyed or washed. The merino is 21 micron, making it supersoft and not itchy or scratchy against the skin, while the smaller percentage of nylon gives extra durability to the knitted fabric. Perfect for socks – and equally for other garments such as scarves, shawls and even baby clothes.
Both merino wool and nylon accept acid dyes so the yarn is perfect for dyeing and readily takes up the dye.
